The naga (Classical Âirumâli: šissiłu) are a species of tauric beings whose lower halves are serpentine in form, who are presently known for their tightly organized military and their achievements in chemistry, which are often coöpted by other member species, especially safir. Native to Daia, the snakish wielders of earth-attuned psionics are ancient rivals of the safir, and the two species have fought at every turn, the safir once driving the nagas to extinction; what allowed them to come back from the dead is still a manner of speculation. The nagas are known for a phenomenon called the Akasha, which is ill-understood but may either be a species-wide emergent consciousness, group mind, or store of genetic memories. Nagas are usually 20-30’ (6-9 m) long, and “stand” 6’ 6” (2,00 m) tall.
